“This is an English daguerreotype, likely made in London. The plate is in excellent condition. The seals are intact.”

Grant Romer

Born in 1804, Benjamin Disraeli was 38 years old in 1842, 174 years ago, the approximate date of this daguerreotype, his earliest known and earliest likely, photographic likeness.

This is a very high quality 9th plate daguerreotype in near pristine condition. It was likely kept in a vault.

“When I want to read a novel, I write one.”

Benjamin Disraeli
